Hi…

Hi…

Travelling the world has never been easier – at the click of a button you can arrange everything from flights to a day hanging out with elephants. However, there still remains the question of where to go. Indeed, all of us are suited to something slightly different in a holiday destination and the plethora of ‘Things to Do’ lists won’t be able to describe the atmosphere of a city or how it feels to meander it’s streets.

As a young woman, fresh out of university and unsure which road to steer my life down, I decided instead to hop on a flight and spend some time seeing the world. Sometimes joined by friends but mostly alone, I’m slowly checking off places on my bucket list and experiencing wonders I’d only ever imagined.

Having kept an extensive journal throughout all of my travels, I’m used to writing down the extent of all my experiences; the good, the bad, the thrilling, the tedious, the marvellous and the abhorrent. While obviously a week spent in a city is vastly inadequate to really understand and appreciate it, I considered that these genuine first impressions from a tourist’s perspective can be useful for others choosing their journey.

Hence, my musings have been converted into an open and honest blog, detailing the delights and joys a traveller has to look forward to while informing them of the lows they’ll might have to deal with.

Welcome and enjoy … X
